If you are not insecure as an artist I really think you are doing something wrong. The other night I was working on a piece and had a bit of a breakdown. I hated what I was doing, felt like everything I touched (drew) turned to crap, hadn't felt that way in a really, really long time. The piece that I was working on will be shown in a museum later this year, a frickin' museum! I was telling this story to my good buddy, another artist, and he said "That's good, you're outside your comfort zone. Every creative person feels that way when they are doing something new or for a new audience." Here I just thought I was having a meltdown and it turns out I was breaking new ground in my creative development. Yeah me! Yeah evolution! Boo grey hairs!
This comic references the "Peacocking" strip from a while back.

I love this one as much as “Peacocking”! Awesome symbolism.

Great punchline (and title)! It’s never just one big insecurity – it’s a bunch of overwhelming little ones.
